SmallRig 4183B Cage for Sony FX30 / FX3
The SmallRig 4183B Cage for Sony FX30 / FX3 is designed to protect your camera and provides mounting points for accessories. The modular cage consists of a NATO rail and a U-shaped cage. The NATO rail is attached to the top with two 1/4"-20 screws and can be removed to install the original XLR handle; the U-shaped cage is secured on both sides and at the bottom with 1/4"-20 screws to prevent rotation, with a cushion pad to protect against scratches.
Near the battery door, a hinged arm conforms to the curve of the camera for a better grip with the little finger. A dedicated HDMI cable clamp protects the interfaces for stable signal transmission. Among the various accessory mounting options, there are 1/4"-20 holes for an optional Magic Arm 2070; ARRI 3/8"-16 mounting holes for the optional top handle 2165C or monitor mount 2903B; the top NATO rail supports the optional top handle 3322 and, on the left, the side handle 2187B; 1/4"-20 holes in the upper left section and on the left side secure Rod Clamp 3598 for follow focus; two 1/4"-20 holes on the right side allow secure attachment to a quick-release plate for vertical shooting; the cold shoe mount supports a microphone and LED light; and the QD port at the bottom is compatible with a QD strap.
An Arca-Swiss quick-release plate on the bottom can be attached directly to the DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro, or to the quick-release plate (height-raising pad) for the DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 gimbal and Arca-Type quick-release plate 3154. On both sides and at the bottom there are holes for the separately available hand strap 3848 and shoulder strap PSC2428. A magnetic key is included for easy assembly and disassembly.
