The Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter is a bidirectional fibre optic interface for the Blackmagic Camera Fiber Converter. The Studio Fiber Converter can communicate with the (sold separately) Camera Fiber Converter over distances of up to 2.5 kilometres.

Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter

The Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter is a bidirectional fibre optic interface for the Blackmagic Camera Fiber Converter. The Studio Fiber Converter can communicate with the (separately available) Camera Fiber Converter at distances of up to 2.5 kilometres and can be deployed in broadcast trucks, television studios and large venues to transport video, audio, communication and control signals over a single SMPTE fibre optic connection. The rear panel features SDI connections for HD or UHD 4K video and HD return feeds. Audio is output via the four XLR connectors. Additional connections include reference input and output, PTZ and intercom/tally on D-connectors, Ethernet and SFP fibre optic (requires a separately available SFP cage). The front panel features a single SMPTE fibre optic connector for the Camera Fiber Converter and a 5-inch display.
