The Leofoto LS-284CEX Ranger Tripod is an exceptionally sturdy carbon tripod with a levelling base, which can tilt up to 15 degrees. The tiltable levelling base allows you to position your camera horizontally without the need for the legs to be straight. In addition, it can be a handy feature for cinematographers and panorama photographers. The tripod has 10 woven carbon layers for extra strength. This allows you to attach a camera and tripod head up to a total of 10kg to this tripod, which itself weighs only 1.3kg.

The working height varies between 146.5 and 85 centimetres, making the LS-284CEX usable for many different purposes. In addition to its weight, the tripod is 52cm long when folded, so it can easily be carried in, for example, a backpack or the included carrier bag. On the levelling base is a 3/8" tripod screw for mounting tripod heads, as it is not included with this tripod.

The twistlock simply unscrews the legs and the four sections slide apart to the desired position. The dial is designed so that this can be done with just one hand. Should you need more grip than the rubber feet under the tripod, you can swap them out for the included spikes.
